How 5 Nigerian Youths Are Helping To Fight COVID-19

A group of Nigerian Youths, involving Folarin Alabi who is the team lead, David Adeyemi (global award-winning innovator), Lanre Adetoro
(outstanding student with ground breaking medical research), Joshua Alele-Beals and AbdulAzeez Adeoti (top software developers in Bowen
University and Obafemi Awolowo University respectively) were bothered by the menace of the pandemic gradually halting the world and decided
to develop a ground-breaking deviceful innovation and palliative measure towards the fight against the notorious COVID-19.

With the mentorship support and assistance from Dr Freeman Osonuga who got the 2014 Time Magazine Person of the Year and Meritorious Service Award from President Bai Ernest Koroma of Sierra Leone for his humanitarian mission to Sierra Leone in the wake of the Ebola epidemic this kick-ass team was birthed.

These young folks, determined to prove that the Youth is the leader of today, not tomorrow, nor can they sit and watch, decided to create a system that disseminates nearly typically accurate data to members of the public about the ongoing pandemic, helping victims and tracking
infected persons.
About the Website
As the fight against COVID-19 prolongs, the Government of Nigeria with its relentless efforts to tackle the virus, requires as much assistance as they can get. With cutting-edge technologies, they (this set of hardworking Nigerian youths) were able to develop a website application with the following functions:
Diagnostic kit - the whole structure of the kit was modelled from World Health Organisation(WHO),  Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Medscape and other relevant health agencies.
Information centre - includes precautions advised from verified medical agencies, up-to-date statistical report from around the world,
and relevant news feeds regarding COVID-19.
HelpDesk - medical records are forwarded to quick response teams such as the Medical Task force.
To accommodate all these features, a website is used as one of the best platforms for effectiveness due to its easy accessibility.
Information can be disseminated faster, and it is much more flexible, as opposed to the conventional mobile app.
Way Forward

These energetic youths can need all the support they can get from government and members of the public willing to help the fight against
the Pandemic.
