Baby Factory Discovered In Borno State

Borno Government on Thursday said it discovered a baby factory where children were being sold in the state. The Commissioner for Justice, Mr Kakashehu Lawal, stated this at a press conference in Maiduguri.

Lawal said that four women alongside the principal suspect were arrested for taking part in the crime.
He said that the “trend is a notorious fact which occurred in Galadima area in the state capital.’’

“After the restoration of relative peace in state capital and its environs, a lot of anti-social activities started to emerge ranging from drug addiction, lawlessness and prostitution.

Adulterous Kenyan couple gets stuck during sex

Two months after a similar occurrence happened in Kenya, another married woman and her lover got stuck in bed after her husband had consulted a witch-doctor for a charm.

According to Tuko News, the adulterous couple from Kisii region of Kenya were recently nabbed at a hotel, where they were committing the act.

A Harare man is regretting having unprotected sex with a lady as she demands money threatening to post the man’s nude photographs on social media.

According to H-Metro, Tawanda Chinyuku who is a Carex Condom marketer hooked up with a lady identified as Philomina for a ‘quickie’ and she demands money whenever she goes broke. Tawanda met Philomina in the line of duty and they started enjoying each other.

How OSUN State University Student Was Killed & Used For Rituals By A Commercial Driver In December

A herbalist, simply identified as Jelili, and a commercial driver, Elijah Oyebode, are helping the Department of State Services, DSS, Osun State Command, on what led to the alleged kidnapping and killing of a 400 Level student of Osun State University, Osogbo, Adebisi Rofiat Damilola. 

It would be recalled that Rofiat, who left Ipetu-Ijesa for Osogbo on December 22, 2016 got missing along the way and her corpse was later found on the roadside along Ikirun/Iragbiji road few days after. 

Sources within the DSS disclosed in Osogbo that the driver had confessed that the herbalist gave him the assignment to bring a young lady and get N10,000 as reward. The sources added that Elijah, in his confessional statement, said Rofiat boarded his vehicle from Ipetu-Ijesa to Osogbo, while returning from the Ipetu-Ijesa campus of UNIOSUN where she was studying Science Education.

Horrific video of 10 Tanzanian men brutally flogging a woman publicly sparks outrage (Watch)

A disturbing video of a 35-year-old woman screaming in agony while being whipped in public by a group of men in Tanzania, has been widely circulated on social media.

In the 2-minute video, the woman was lying flat on her stomach on the ground and a group of men, seemingly in a public meeting, taking turns to whip the helpless woman on the butt. At one point the pain became unbearable for the woman and she struggled to break free but instead she was held down by several men and the flogging continued.
The incident occurred on December 23, 2016, in Nyasurura area in Serengeti, Tanzania. Authorities launched investigations to ascertain authenticity of the video immediately it went viral.

Nairobi News reports Tanzania police has arrested ten suspects in connection with the brutal act. Among them was the chairman of the council of elders of the Msimbiti clan of Kinesi village, together with four of his delegates plus four men who forcefully held the woman down during the beating.

According to a statement from Tanzanian police, the woman was being punished for allegedly insulting her 55-year-old mother and denying that she was her mother. She was also accused of threatening to kill her mother through witchcraft. The mother had complained to the council of elders who then decreed that she should be flogged.

While he is now legally male, Hayden stopped his transition so he could get pregnant and have a biological child before it was too late.

"It's quite scary, but I'm happy I'm going to have a biological kid. I wanted my eggs frozen. Not everyone wants kids when they're young," Hayden told Lorraine.

Mike Eze-Nwalie Nwogu popularly known as 'Pretty Mike', a 30-year-old club owner, who has been recently condemned by the public for dehumanizing young ladies by putting chains on their necks and parading them in public gatherings has been arrested by the order of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode. 
Pretty Mike was arrested on Wednesday by the police after his photos with girls on dog chains went viral.

Morocco Has Banned The Sale Of Full-Face Muslim Veil

Morocco has banned the production and sale of full-face Muslim veils apparently for security reasons, according to local media reports.

While there was no official announcement by authorities in the North African nation, the reports said the interior ministry order would take effect this week.

"We have taken the step of completely banning the import, manufacture and marketing of this garment in all the cities and towns of the kingdom," the Le360 news site quoted a high-ranking interior ministry official as saying on Tuesday.

Yahoo To Be Named Altaba, Mayer To Leave Board After Verizon Deal

Yahoo Inc yesterday said that it would rename itself Altaba Inc and Chief Executive Officer Marissa Mayer would step down from the board after the closing of its deal with Verizon Communications Inc.

Yahoo has a deal to sell its core internet business, which includes its digital advertising, email and media assets, to Verizon for $4.83 billion.

The terms of that deal could be amended - or the transaction may even be called off - after Yahoo last year disclosed two separate data breaches; one involving some 500 million customer accounts and the second involving over a billion.
Verizon executives have said that while they see a strong strategic fit with Yahoo, they are still investigating the data breaches.

Woman Inserts Stick Of Broom Dipped In Cameroon Pepper Into Private Part Of 9-Year-Old Nephew

The police have arrested a woman, identified only as Bassey, for allegedly inserting a stick of broom dipped in pepper into the private parts of a nine-year-old boy, identified as Promise, in the Ebute-Meta area of Lagos State.

It was learnt that Bassey had accused the victim, who was her nephew, of stealing N2,000. Forcing him to confess to the crime, the mother of four allegedly resorted to the extreme measure.

Neighbours, who had reportedly observed the continuous abuse of Promise, reported the case to the police at the Iponri division.

Promise was said to have been taken to a hospital, where the stick of broom was removed.

Ft. Lauderdale gunman who killed 5 people and injured 8 others makes his first court appearance

26-year-old Iraq war veteran  Esteban Santiago who shot dead five people and injured 8 others at the Fort Lauderdale Airport in Florida on Friday showed no emotion in court on Monday as he was told he could face the death penalty  on two federal counts in the case.
Santiago who appeared at a Florida federal court just before noon for his first hearing, which lasted a little more than 15 minutes and focused mainly on his financial situation didn't say much in court.  Santiago who was shackled and wearing a red jumpsuit - answered questions firmly with 'yes' or 'no' answers in a Spanish accent.

For plagiarising portions of inauguration speeches of two former American presidents, newly sworn-in Ghana President recieves major backlash

Nana Akufo-Addo presidency got off to a rocky start Saturday after he was accused of plagiarising portions of inauguration speeches of two former American presidents.

Akufo-Addo was sworn as the 54th president of Ghana, a country described as the “gold standard for democracy in Africa” taking over from John Dramani Mahama. But the new president’s inauguration was blighted by the accusation of directly lifting from Bill Clinton’s 1993 and George Bush’s 2001 presidential inaugural speeches.
